Spring 2009

The obvious beauties of spring have appeared: daffodils and hyacinth dotting the forest floor, robins busily at work along the bike path, whales in our ocean neighborhood. I can almost smell driftwood campfires at the beach. Most of us look forward to this time of year--to spring cleanse our bodies or commit ourselves to something that will thrust us forward with a fresh new perspective of Self and World. This new take on things, often paralleled by the happenings of nature, are filled with vibrancy and awakening. At the same time that we spring forward, we remember our commitment to the dark hours of winter; The allowance of chaos and dormant parts of ourselves. From winter, the less obvious beauties of Spring boldly lead us onward to another season, another cycle of life.
