The training was delivered professionally, with compassion, love and kindness and is relevant to modern day while staying true to the sacred teachings of yoga 🙏😊.. Rich and varied carriculum.. One of the best experiences of my life so far would 100% recommended 🪷

Taking the 100-hour Yin and Restorative Yoga Teacher Training with Tofino Yoga was a profoundly transformative experience—one that will stay with me for a lifetime. Nestled in the natural beauty of Tofino, this training offered more than just education; it offered deep healing, connection, and renewal. I recently completed the Tofino Yoga, 200 Yoga Teacher Training program in Edinburgh. And what an incredible experience it was! I have had the privilege of knowing Dede for over a decade, first crossing paths through our work in First Nations communities. At that time, I was working as a drug and alcohol counselor, and I witnessed firsthand the gracious and committed way in which Dede connected with her trauma-informed students. It was during this time that I first encountered chair yoga. Dede gracefully taught us how to move our bodies, regardless of our level of experience or mobility. Both myself and the elders she so warmly welcomed into the space were always excited and deeply grateful for these classes. For many, it was the highlight of their week. Over the years, I have watched Dede bring that same integrity, heart, and generosity to Tofino Yoga. She is not only a deeply committed yoga teacher but also a beautiful presence in the lives of so many. Her teachings reach all segments of the population with kindness, depth, and wisdom. I am forever grateful for her essence and for everything she has done for me and countless others. There’s nothing like yoga on these pristine beaches. An absolute must! Dede is such a mindful and compassionate teacher and I love the history about the land that she often shares. I’ve also had classes with several of their other Practitioners and they never disappoint. If you’re looking for an opportunity to connect deeper with yourself and the land, this is it.

Completing my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with Tofino Yoga under the guidance of Dede, Ricardo, Jane and Dawn was a truly transformative experience! The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, offering a perfect balance of philosophy, anatomy, and hands-on practice. The course fostered a deep sense of community and personal growth with plenty of opportunities for self-reflection and refinement of teaching skills. By the end, I felt fully equipped to guide others on their yoga journey with confidence and authenticity. Highly recommend for anyone looking to deepen their practice or start teaching!

My daughter & I had the pleasure of attending the best yoga class at McKenzie Beach Sept 7 led by an incredibly knowledgeable instructor Dede.The instructor was so welcoming, honoured the land & people of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations including some history followed by an hour of yoga. The practice was just what our bodies needed. And nothing compares to that fresh ocean air, the bluest skies, the sounds of the ocean while practicing with nature all around us. Will visualize & dream of this practice all winter long in my indoor practice spaces in Winnipeg. So much gratitude to Tofino Yoga & would recommend to everyone staying in the Tofino area. 🙏
